We went to a birthday party today where everyone was encouraged to dress up either as a pirate or a princess/fairy. Of course, Alex needs no encouragement to dress up, so he was delighted when I put together a pirate costume for him this week. His nice pirate hat from Cousins Landen and Mackenna came in very handy to round out the look. At the party he made a pirate bandana and an eye patch too. Julia was lucky enough to have a hand me down dress from Rory, which she put to good use as her princess dress. She and I worked on making a tutu at the party. It was a fun filled day with arts and crafts, cake and juice boxes too. Happy Birthday, Gabby!
