Scene: Last night, getting ready for a bath
Characters: David and Alex
David: Ok buddy, I'm going to go draw a bath for you.
Alex: (in distressed tone) No, no, no Daddy, I don't want you to draw a bath, I want a REAL bath!
Darn English language....so confusing. We do use our drawing table alot, so I can certainly see where the confusion arises.

Happy 3rd Birthday Johnny!
The birthday boy getting some air!
Dancing in the bouncy house
Nope, not having fun at all.
A happy birthday boy!
Little cutie on a big bounce
Even falling down is fun in this place!
Happy Birthday Johnny! Today is the actual birthday, but he had a fantastic birthday party on Sunday. Bouncy house, the taco guy, yummy cake and lots of dinosaurs...what more could a 3 year old ask for? As you can see from the photos, everyone had a fun time and bounced out a lot of energy! Wishing Ali's little buddy a very happy birthday!
More Fun with Grandma
Reading, an all-time favorite activity. "Compost Stew" a library find is a particular favorite as of late.
Having fun making sand castles at the Moraga Commons Park
Alex helping Grandma learn the Kookaburra song
Alex really enjoyed the visit from Grandma Elaine and Larry. In fact, on Monday, the day after they left, he declared to me that he had a "very fun playdate." I am quite sure that they saw every book and toy in our house and they were treated to constant conversation thanks to Alex. He enjoyed singing, playing piano, reading and playing with Grandma. He also gave them a tour of the Oakland Zoo one day and a fun trip to Moraga Commons Park on another day. All days were full of activity and non-stop talking from the little guy.
A Ferry Trip
The best pic we have of the three of us. Someone was being rather silly.
Daddy and Alex on the ferry.
Alex showing the variety of produce at the farmer's market.
A view of the city on our way back to Oakland, when it was starting to cloud over.
It's been over a week since Grandma Elaine and Larry were here, and I'm just now getting around to posting some pictures from their visit. One of the days that they were here, we took the ferry from Jack London Square over to The Ferry Building in San Francisco. It was a nice day and lots of people were doing the same thing as us, so it was bustling at the Ferry Building. We enjoyed walking around the farmer's market and the ferry building shops, as well as having a nice lunch of crispy rotisserie porchetta and yummy roasted potatoes from the Roli Roti truck. Alex and Grandma also enjoyed listening to the musicians who were playing that day. All in all, a very fun little outing.
