Chrissy Field

The kiddos and I spent some time at Chrissy Field today on our way to pick up Livia, who will be visiting us for a bit...yay!  We enjoyed the sand, the view of the Golden Gate Bridge and a nice sunny day.  Plenty of windsurfers and kite surfers, as well as dogs and people to watch while we were there.

We took a little road trip to Tomales Bay, near Point Reyes today to enjoy the sunshine on this first day of the new year.  We enjoyed a little picnic of goat cheese, salami, bread and some olive and artichoke spread on Chicken Ranch Beach.  Although it was windy and pretty chilly, it was bright and sunny as well, so the kiddos had fun running around the beach throwing rocks into the water.  They also enjoyed a nice long nap on the way back, so it turned out to be a fun day for all.

Father's Day at the Beach!

On Saturday, we took Daddy to the beach for Father's Day.  We went to Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz and had a lovely day.  The weather was really hot here, but it was gorgeous at the beach.  Alex and Julia had a great time playing on the beach, collecting seaweed, playing in the sand and having a nice picnic lunch.

Things are looking up in the car travel department too, as we were able to get all the way there and most of the way back without crying.  In fact, Julia slept most of the time in the car.  Yay!  We stopped at our favorite taqueria on the way back for some dinner to round out the day.  All in all, lots of fun!
