The Tiger Den
Alex really enjoyed his first Pinewood Derby the day after his 7th birthday! He made a fast looking black car with red flames, which he dubbed FireSerpent. It turned out to be a good car and after racing quite a few times during the morning and moving on to the finals, he received 2nd place for the Tiger Division. He was quite happy! And has already started thinking of what could help him do even better next year. The Pinewood Derby was far more advanced than I imagined it would be. I thought we would all be in a gym, crowded around a track to try to see who was winning a race, but instead, we sat on chairs and watched all of the different angles and stats on a big screen TV. Very organized and well run, quite a fun event!
