The boot hockey crew.
Alex and Uncle Brant vs. Landen and Uncle David
While the boys were playing boot hockey, the girls and I were making many round around the yard on the sled.

Checking out the City with Jia Ying
We took BART into the city today for a little adventure. We went to the Ferry Building and had a lunch of ramen from Hapa Ramen and tamales from Donna's Tamales. Everyone enjoyed their food and then we took a streetcar up to Pier 39 to see the sea lions. We watched them for awhile, watched some birds, looked over at Alcatraz, where Alex would now like to visit and then took a ride on the carousel, before heading back on the streetcar to The Ferry Building. Quite a fun day with Jia Ying!

Ano Nuevo State Park
We had a fun little trip down to Ano Nuevo State Park today. We stopped in Pescadero for lunch on the way there and then went on a hike down to the beach to see the elephant seals which are currently in the molting period. We were able to get quite close and observed them while enjoying the gorgeous day. Our trip back took quite awhile because of alot of traffic through Half Moon Bay and San Francisco, but we broke it up by stopping in San Mateo for ramen at Himawari. We sampled some delicious dishes and then headed back on the road and finally got home in time for bed. Everyone had fun and as you can see, they love "Auntie" Livia!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!
A little girl who would rather be taking a nap than taking photos
Julia: not happy, Alex: trying to figure out what is playing on the iPhone, Matthew: enjoying what is playing on the iPhone.
Bunch of crazies ;-)

Getting up close with Xena
Cute family pic
We took these photos while Ming, Fiona and Matthew were here during Christmas, but somehow I realized that I didn't post them. We used some of them on the cards which we sent out for Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, Julia was about due for a nap and was not into photo taking at all, but that happens. Fiona and I had the same idea, getting matching outfits for photos, so we had matching sweaters for the boys and matching kung fu outfits and a cute cheongsam for Julia. The kiddos wore their outfits again on Chinese New Year, so thank you, Auntie Fiona!

Santa's Sleigh Part II
Some photos of Matthew in Santa's sleigh, while Santa got the "reindeer" ready. As you can see, Matthew was intently watching to see what exactly his cousin was trying to do.
Christmas Day
December was super busy, with all kinds of school activities, prepping for Christmas and of course, a fun visit with Ming, Fiona and Matthew. I got behind on posting, hence the barrage of photos and posts the past few days. Better late than never, right? These photos are from Christmas Day. It was rainy and we spent most of the day parked in the family room and playroom, gradually opening presents and then playing with them all.
