Hairstyles

Jules loves her barrettes.  These are the ones she put in the other day, all by herself.  Of course, there were three more in the back which you couldn't see, but she did it!

Gingerbread Houses

We had fun with the Bertain Family last night, keeping our tradition of making gingerbread houses at Christmas time.  "Making" them from Trader Joe's kits that is.  Definitely the way to go, after my initial fiasco of making the house parts myself that year.  Kits are easy, kids are happy and everyone has fun.

Harry Potter

I came home from the school board meeting the other night to find everyone asleep.  Even Harry Potter was sleeping on the floor in Alex's room.

Rain Doesn't Stop Fashion.....

Nope, it just doesn't.

Princess Safeway

Here's Jules at Safeway the other day.  Who doesn't dress up in a dress, furry coat and princess tiara to go to the grocery store?  Thanks, Hua Ji for the dress and Barbara for the tiara!  And, Mackenna, I think that maybe this coat used to be yours?

Caramel Time!

Time for caramels again.  200 down and about 200 to go!

Spelling

Alex comes home with spelling tests every week.  They don't bring spelling lists home to practice, but must go over them in class, I would assume.  He told me that spelling is one of his favorite things.  A boy after my own heart!  I'm amazed at what they do in first grade.  Incredible.  I still know adults who don't use their correctly. :-)

Batting Practice

David and Alex went to the batting cages the other day to practice hitting balls.  Ryan, Charlotte and Mike met up with them and it sounds like a fun time was had by all.

TT Girls

Julia and I took the TT to pick up Xena from the dog sitter on Tuesday, since the BMW had a dead battery.  Julia thought it was quite fun.

Snowmobile Ride!

Grandma Elaine's neighbor Chris was kind enough to take Alex on a snowmobile ride one night while we were in Minnesota.  He even let Daddy drive the snowmobile too.  Lots of fun!

The Hartzlers Visit

Lori, Kirk and Zach came out to visit on their way back to Minneapolis over Thanksgiving break.  It was great to see them and catch up, since we last saw them five years ago!
