They started road construction on our street the other day and the kids loved it! So many trucks and machines to watch. Great entertainment for a quiet Friday morning.

All Dressed Up
Jules is really digging dresses as of late. She found this one in her closet the other day. Larry gave it to her when she was little and now she can fit in it. Thanks, Larry!
First Day of 1st Grade!
Today was Alex's first day of 1st grade. He has Mrs. Weiden as his teacher and he was very excited for the first day. He woke up at 6:30 and by 7:30 we were dressed, finished with breakfast and ready to head out the door. We walked and he was able to find his classroom line and play on the playground for a bit before heading into class. Happy 1st day, buddy!

Tomatoes
One of the rainbow tomatoes we harvested from our plant which we mistakenly bought at the plant sale this Spring.
Pebbles
Jules was very upset the other evening, because she wants her hair to be long enough to make a ponytail. I showed her a picture of Pebbles Flintstone on my phone and told her that we could make a ponytail like Pebbles on top of her head and she immediately perked up. Someday it will grow, Jules, someday. You look super cute, just the way you are!
Tilden Park
That's quite a tongue!
Jules feeding one of the "ravenous" goats.
Needless to say, the two celery bunches we brought did not last long!
At the farm
At the Tilden Carousel
Jules rethinking her decision, right before the carousel starts to go.
Much more happy sitting on one of the seats on the carousel.
Checking things out.
The second time around on the seat that rocks while you go around.
The rocking seat was definitely the favorite.
Lunch after the Tilden morning at Tacubaya on 4th Street in Berkeley.

Around the Campground
Jules and Alex both loved the playground.
Monkeys in the morning.
Daddy and Jules
We worked together to figure out a way to make better camp coffee. The percolator just wasn't cutting it. Nothing a few filters and a yogurt container cannot fix. Slow drip, just like Blue Bottle right at our campsite. Awesome!
Daddy and Alex making breakfast.
The chefs at work.
Jules and I went up to see the goats. Sassy, Blossom, Kid and Bloomer.
